Thermal Barriers The complete solution to
temperature If data loggers are to be exposed If data loggers are to be exposed to high temperatures in a Process for any length of time a Thermal Barrier must be used to protect their electronics. The ‘system’ can then travel with the products, constantly recording conditions as the ‘product sees them’. This helps ensure that Quality is Assured and that productivity costs and efficiency are at their optimum. Full details of time v Temperature exposures are available on request. The thermal barrier system comprising; - Barrier, Data Logger, Software and Sensors, travels within the entire process without trailing wires recording the time and temperature that your product is exposed to A thermal barrier is required to protect the data logger electronics from exposure to the process temperatures being monitored. Available in various standard sizes (others available state, time, temperature and size restrictions, details on request) and styles to suit your process requirements. Select a thermal barrier that will withstand the time exposure to the temperatures concerned
The recommended SP-1700 series of data loggers provide a selection to suit a wide range of applications. Input 2-wire plug in screw terminal connection thermocouple types J, K, T or S user selectable, 1, 2 or 4 channel TC input options. Accuracy ±0.25%FS (input range signal). Voltage to temperature conversion based on NIST polynomial coefficients. Automatic cold junction compensation, 12-bit resolution. Easy to use software SFW-IC package compatible with Windows 95, 98 and NT. Thermocouple temperature sensors can be supplied if required in type J, K, T or S. In any style or length to suit the application. Mini Thermal barriers MTB series offer good thermal insulation for freezing temperatures such as Chillers, Freezer stores, Freezer tunnels and blast freezers. Standard Thermal barriers STB series are ideally suited to Food processing, cakes, bread, meat, fish, poultry and various powder coating and paint finish applications. Also store enameling operations can easily be monitored. High temperature and long exposures can be monitored using the KTB series of Kiln temperature barriers. Such is the nature of high temperature process monitoring that it is necessary to be prepared to produce barriers to suit the application and we have devised a check list to enable you to specify your own application very easily
